Well the real pushiness only really seemed to happen around Giza, which I guess is not surprising as that is where the tourists congregate but yes, being part of an organized tour probably helps too. I didn't notice any particular tension, which surprised me, and people were generally pretty friendly. The traffic was horrific though!

Maybe we'll go when things have calmed down in the region, a Night boat to Cairo cruise with escorted tours to keep the locals at bay
